According to Abeler, Daniel Schepcke (or Schepke) in Warsaw was a native of Dresden who was appointed clockmaker to the court of King Stanislaus II (1732 - 1798). Schepcke’s work includes several carriage clocks such as those in the National Museum in Poznan; Stolberg also shows a clock in a double case in "Die Kutschenuhr" (the carriage clock).
