Case: titanium, screwed on glazed back, screwed crown, tachy bezel, caoutchouc strap with titanium deployant clasp. Dial: black.
Ferdinand Alexander Porsche founded the Porsche Design company in 1972. His objective was to create sportive timepieces that guaranteed maximum readability and at the same time were a perfect match for the famous racing cars. The first watch launched by Porsche Design was the world-famous Chronograph I in a matte black, stainless steel case. From 1978 to 1995 Porsche Design had the watches manufactured at IWC Schaffhausen, later at Eterna in Grenchen.
