Case: steel, screw back with "Silver Snoopy Award" emblem and engraving "The Moon Watch Snoopy Award - Limited Edition 0691/5441", solid Omega bracelet ref. 1998/849, bracelet length 150 mm, total length 195 mm. Dial: black, subsidiary dial for auxiliary seconds with "Silver Snoopy Award" patch.
This watch is no. 0691 of a limited edition of 5,441 pieces created on occasion of receiving the prestigious "Silver Snoopy Award", the highest award presented by NASA to individuals or companies who made valuable contributions to the safety and the success of manned space flight. The award was presented to Omega in 1970 in recognition of the great performance of their Speedmaster Professional timepieces during the Gemini and Apollo missions, in particular the missions 12 and 13. The limited edition number 5,441 represents the length of the Apollo 13 mission: 142 hours, 54 minutes and 41 seconds.
