A. Lange & Söhne Glashütte - SA, Movement No. 61393, Case No. 61393, Cal. 43, 53 mm, 104 g, circa 1916
A rare and fine Glashuette pocket watch with chronograph and 30 min. counter, manufactured in quality 1A and sold for 695 Marks to Wikander company in Boras on March 21, 1916. The watch was formerly the property of the Anders family and comes with the original box and extract from the archives
Case: 18k gold, chronograph pusher via pendant, engraved name "Anders" with inlaid cobalt blue enamelled letters. Dial: enamel. Movm.: 3/4 plate movement, gold screw compensation balance.
According to Martin Huber's "Lange-Liste" the price of the watch included a 5% war tax in 1916; an extra charge of 30 marks was added on top for the enamel decoration of the case. This watch is recorded on page 150.
