A gold Glashuette hunting case pocket watch in near mint condition - manufactured in quality 1A - from the property of Gerhard Lange. With original box and Lange extract from the archives.
Case: 14k gold. Dial: gilt. Movm.: 3/4 plate movement, gold screw compensation balance.
According to the Lange & Söhne sales records, this timepiece dating from the 1940s was delivered to Gerhard Lange himself for a price of 290 reichsmark. Gerhard Lange (1892-1969) was the son of Friedrich Emil Lange and the grandson of Adolph Lange; he had been a co-owner of the company Lange & Söhne since 1920 and later became its director, together with his two brothers.
