A. Lange & Söhne's "Pour le Mérite" takes its name from the German order "Pour le Mérite" and features a design which has only been realised twice before, in a Tourbillon 1994 and in the Tourbograph 2005 – and never before in a RICHARD LANGE. The mechanism is fitted with an unusual gear with chain/fusee, a very sophisticated system to use in a wristwatch because the chain consists of more than 600 individual elements. The highly complicated mechanism optimizes the accuracy of the watch and can be watched through an aperture in the three quarter plate. The hand-engraved balance cock captivates us with its special design. One of the most distinguishing features of this timepiece is the highly elegant, exquisitely worked three-part enamel dial. A production technique mastered by only a few specialised craftsmen nowadays.
