A Prague Rococo bracket clock with quarter hour / hour strike, moon phase and date. In 2018 this clock was given a full maintenance service
Case: walnut, veneered, brass. Dial: applied silvered chapter ring, gilt brass background. Movm.: rectangular shaped brass movement, gilt, finely engraved with acanthus and a Rocaille, chain/fusee for going train, 2 barrels for striking train, verge escapement, 2 hammers / 2 bells, silk suspended short pendulum.

The moulded body made of veneered walnut wood rests on four brass rocaille feet. Front and side have glass panels, the sides are open-worked. Inverted bell top with flambeau finials, solid brass handle decorated with volutes and shell work.
Intricately ornamented dial with silvered chapter ring and Roman hours. Gilt centre area lavishly engraved with Rococo ornaments, window for mock pendulum and date window, framed by a gilt brass background and splendidly decorated with applied rocailles. Abovem, semicircular opening for polychrome moon phase with corresponding moon age on silver ground, flanked by two silvered rings for quarter hour / hour strike. The left is inscribed with "Ordinari Stundt / Zu allen Viert die S" (for choosing hour or quarter hour strike), the right ring with "Schlagt / Nicht Schlagt" for strike/silence.
