Supremely finished minute repeater pocket watches of such a small size are very rare and hardly ever appear in international auctions any more. In the era they were made, these watches were very precious and sold for higher prices than men’s timepieces of the same type. We can only speculate on who the original owner of this fine pocket watch was; it bears the initials "CW" under a crown.
