Comor Watch (Dubey & Schaldenbrand, La Chaux-de-Fonds), "Antimagnetic", Case No. 8202706, Ref. B137537IM, Cal. 13 3/4'', 37 mm, circa 1960
A vintage wristwatch with split seconds chronograph, 30 min. counter, blue tachy scale and red telemeter scale, designed after a special rattrapante mechanism patented in 1946 - with original box and original guarantee
Case: pink gilt, steel push back. Dial: silvered.
In total only a few hundred pieces of this model were ever sold worldwide. Due to the unique design of the mechanism this timepiece is of particularly high interest to the discerning collector.
The distinctive feature of this rattrapante chronograph lies in the easy handling which nevertheless provides the same functionality as the classic design. Due to the minute counter the pusher in the crown only needs to be pressed for one minute; when the pusher is released, the rattrapante hand jumps automatically to the first seconds hand and moves along with it.
