Patek Philippe Genève, Movement No. 5669941, Case No. 4576242, Ref. 5205G-010, Cal. 324 S QA LU 24H, 40 mm, circa 2012
A factory sealed automatic Geneva wristwatch - annual calendar with day, date and month in apertures, moon phases and 24-hour dial - sold on November 13th, 2012 - with original box, leather wallet, original certificate, setting pin, brochures and operating instructions
Case: 18k white gold, glazed push back, 18k white gold PP buckle. Dial: two-tone dial: black and slate grey.
The 18k white gold edition of the Patek Philippe Annual Calendar reference 5205 was first launched in 2010. The two-tone dial was originally available in two variants, in rhodium/silver grey and in black/slate grey such as this piece. Both colour schemes were discontinued and replaced by a dial in blue gently shading to black. Reference 5205 is easily recognizable by its three apertures along an arc for displaying the day of the week, the date and the month instead of the more commonly used subsidiary dials for the annual calendar. The design of the dial is sportive and modern, not least because of the vibrant dauphine hands and the oversize white gold hours. The watch has never been worn or come up for sale before - itis even still in its original plastic wrapping! A dream "full set" for any collector of high class Patek Philippe timepieces.
